Chinese Culinary Arts Show

Regional cultural differences vary greatly within China, giving rise to the different styles of food across the nation. Traditionally there are eight main regional cuisines, or Eight Great Traditions: Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan and Zhejiang. Sometimes four of the Eight Great Traditions are given greater emphasis as the Four Great Traditions, and are considered to be the dominate culinary heritage of China: these are notably defined along geographical lines: Sichuan (Western China), Cantonese (Southern China), Shandong (Northern China), and Huaiyang Cuisine (Eastern China), a major style derived from Jiangsu cuisine and even viewed as the representative of that region's cooking. In modern times, Beijing cuisine and Shanghai cuisine on occasion are also cited along with the classical eight regional styles as the Ten Great Traditions. There are also featured Chinese Buddhist cuisine and Muslim sub-cuisines within the greater Chinese cuisine, with an emphasis on vegetarian and halal-based diets respectively. It will be a very exacting time during this summit, because We have invited many famous chefs to show their fabulos cooking skills.

Caligraphy Arts Show

Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. The earliest paintings were not representational but ornamental; they consisted of patterns or designs rather than pictures. Stone Age pottery was painted with spirals, zigzags, dots, or animals. It was only during the Warring States Period (403-221 B.C.) that artists began to represent the world around them. Painting in the traditional style is known today in Chinese as guó huà, meaning 'national' or 'native painting', as opposed to Western styles of art which became popular in China in the 20th century. Traditional painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink; oils are not used. As with calligraphy, the most popular materials on which paintings are made of are paper and silk. The finished work is then mounted on scrolls, which can be hung or rolled up. Traditional painting also is done in albums and on walls, lacquerwork, and other media. This Summit will show you the unique attraction about traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy.

Since the 44 anniversary of founding, our troupe has successfully staged opera productions up to more than 300 and opera performances nearly ten thousand. The most distinguished is the play “Gan Guo Bao”, a folklore-based story, setting a record 1000 performances, which made our troupe well-known as “Gan Guo Bao Opera Troupe” at home and abroad.
